Church Council Meeting

Tuesday 10th February 7.00 pm

We call out all the church members to attend the next Council Meeting on Tuesday 10th February at 7.00 pm which will be taking place at church.

All reports and the agenda will be distributed by 3rd February.

Zero Hunger

Saturday 28th February 10 am to 11 am

We are inviting the Zero Hunger team to serve as our community outreach partner on the 4th Saturday of each month.

As details of this events spreads within the community, please note there are likely to be queues. All are welcome, no criteria, just a £4 payment, to get vegetables, bread and several other items, all of which would go to waste if not collected by Zero Hunger.

After or before shopping, please stop by the Church Coffee Morning to meet up with your friends or make new ones from the local area.

Can you help with making a Coffee/Tea

or wish to have flowers in the Church to celebrate special events or in memory of a loved one.

The church leadership team need your help with making the tea/coffee after the service on a Sunday or on a Saturday morning. Please sign the sheet on the notice board or speak to one of the stewards.

If you have a special date or occasion and wish to have flowers in Church, please see the rota or speak to Denise, as she prepares a new rota for 2026.

Volunteer Opportunities: once a month or a term!

There are a variety of other areas where we need volunteers to help within the Church, either on a Sunday or during the week.

Please speak to a Steward for further information.

Lent Course 2026 Lent and Easter Events

 There will a Lent bible study course taking place at

Cove Methodist Church every Wednesday in March 

starting 4th March through to 25th March 

10.30 am to 12.30 am

Please don’t forget to sign up your attendance on the sheet in the Welcome Hall.

Tenebrae Service – Maundy Thursday

There will be no Tenebrae service this year at Cove Methodist Church. There will be one held in the circuit, and we will give further details next month. Thanks

Easter Sunday 5th April.

Family Breakfast followed by a Service of Holy Communion

We will be holding an Easter breakfast on

Easter Sunday 5th April, starting at 8.45am.

This will take place in the Church Hall, followed by an     Easter Day Holy Communion Service which will be starting at 9.30 am. Please put your names down on the list in the Welcome Hall if you wish to come along.

Afternoon Tea – Saturday 14th March at 3.00 pm

After the success of last year’s event, we thought it would be great to do again! Bring the family along for afternoon tea with entertainment.

Further details will be available during the month, so watch for emails or posters.

Spring Fayre – Saturday 11th April – 10.00 am to 1.00 pm

All the normal fun of the fayre! – Please save the date with refreshments, cakes, craft items, bric-a-brac, books, toys and children’s games.

We are pleased to offer the use of the Welcome Hall

on Saturday mornings (except the 4th Saturday of each month),

during our weekly coffee morning.

If you who would like to run a fundraising event for a charity or community cause.

You are very welcome to bring:

Your own team

Your own decorations

Your own ingredients

And, of course, your creativity!

Whether it’s coffee, cakes, crafts, or something completely new,

we would love to support you in using our space to bless others.
