Church Council Meeting
We are planning our regular church council meeting on September 16th at 7 PM at the church. Please send any new agendas and reports related to Gill, meeting secretary, by September 5th so that all council members have enough time to review the paper prior to the meeting. I appreciate your proactive involvement in sharing your visions and ideas in shaping the present and the future church.
CIRCUIT FAREWELL SERVICE
There will be a farewell service for Rev Philip Simpkins, who is taking up a new opportunity on the Isle of Wight. This will be held on Sunday 20th September, 4pm at Alton Methodist Church. We wish him well in his new venture.
Harvest Festival
Our Harvest Festival service will take place on Sunday 11th October, with a light lunch afterwards. We will be setting up the Harvest display on Saturday 10th October, during morning coffee. If you have any items for the display, please bring along on the Saturday or Sunday morning. Donations of tinned and dry goods will be donated to the Farnborough Foodbank. We will also have a retiring collection for All we can.
“Kum” NEW cell group for adults between 20-50s
We will start the new cell group one Sunday afternoon between 5.30-7 pm on 3rd Sunday of every Month. This group includes parents, children of all ages, and singles aged between 20 and 50 years old for fellowship, Bible study, worship, meal sharing, and a guest speaker. We are looking for activity coordinator(s) to help with children’s activities (including film watching, worship dance, learning children’s worship songs, arts and crafts, Lego, etc.) for up to 45 minutes. Please speak to Rev Kyung Mi Banks for all interests in your attendance or volunteer opportunities
Do you need a space to support your charity or good cause?
We are pleased to offer the use of our Welcome Space on Saturday mornings (except the 4th Saturday of each month), during our weekly coffee morning.
If you who would like to run a fundraising event for a charity or community cause. You are very welcome to bring:
Your own team; Your own decorations; Your own ingredients; And, of course, your creativity!
Whether it’s coffee, cakes, crafts, or something completely new, we would love to support you in using our space to bless others.
